Why This Toolkit Matters
Black families in Ontario continue to face systemic barriers, racial bias, and inequitable treatment within education and child welfare systems. The Know Your Rights Toolkit was created to provide clear, accessible information to help families understand their rights, navigate challenging situations, and advocate effectively for their children.
This toolkit is designed to equip parents and guardians with practical knowledge, actionable steps, and community-based resources to ensure Black children receive fair treatment and the quality education they deserve.
