Welcome to 'The O' !

The ‘O’ is an online virtual educational experience that will give students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 access to free virtual drop-in tutoring, educational tools, and other culturally relevant resources — all delivered through an Africentric lens.

What does the Omo Campus Offer?

DROP-IN HOMEWORK HELP/TUTORING IS BACK!

Starting on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022: Our 20 minute drop-in homework help/tutoring will be available from Tuesday-Thursday at 4:00 pm-7:00 pm. For students from Kindergarten to Grade 12, homework support is available and free!

* Virtual tutoring is provided on a first come first serve basis from Tuesday to Thursdays 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.

For students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 we will be supporting in the following subjects:

  • Math
  • English (Language Arts)
  • Science
  • French * Scheduling subjected to change

For students in Grade 9 to Grade 12 we will be supporting in the following subjects:

  • English
  • Law
  • Social Science

Weekly Schedule & Subject Availability:

  • Monday: K-12 (All subjects including French)
  • Tuesday: K-12 (All subjects including French)
  • Wednesday: K-8 (All subjects) Grade 9-12 (All subjects)
  • Thursday: K-8 (All subjects)

Additional subjects may be provided upon discussion with the Omo Tutoring Manager.

Working Online? Support POBC and Engage Your Team!

Not a student, but looking for a more engaging and interactive way to engage employees or a group?  Renting space on our campus is a great way to help our organization support Black students and families, while also creating an online space to engage interactively with staff and employees.   You can create your very own team suites, with individual office space and boardrooms.  You can also access conference halls auditoriums and much more for your business right on our campus.   One-time or ongoing plans are available.   Contact us to learn more.

Are You a School? Book a Field Trip to ‘The O’

Immerse students in Black history through the Marcus Garvey Tower, take rides in our boats, play soccer, visit the Carrie Best Libraries and learn about Black led social justice movements from around the world in our Kola Iluyomade Centre for Social Justice and Innovation.
